The Department of Business Management announces the commencement of the Diploma in Business Management (DBM) programme, as part of an ongoing process of conducting courses to meet the demands of the challenging business world.

This course is offered by the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Business Studies & Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. With this knowledge, the participants could gain better employment in managerial positions in the business world or continue with higher studies.

The curriculum is highly focused on mirroring the challenges of the globalized world. It appropriately adopts Problem-based Learning as the primary teaching methodology to promote student-directed learning that will better equip them with the industry.

Admission Requirements

i.     Passed in G.C.E. (Advanced Level) 2 subjects (3 subjects for the applicants who did four issues) in any stream in a single attempt,

OR,

ii.    Passed in G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) 6 subjects (including Mathematics and English) in a single attempt with more than three years of working experience in a related field,

 OR,

iii.    Any other qualification not listed above may be considered case by case and acceptable to the Board of Study and the Senate of WUSL.

AND

iv.   Age not less than 18 years

Length of Course

The duration of the course is one academic year. The participants must follow thirteen (13) course modules in two terms, including an Independent Study Report at the end of the course.

Course Fee & Payment Plan

The course fee is Rs. 70,000.00, and the Student has to pay Rs. 30,000.00 at the time of registration, and the balance amount can be made by Rs. 40,000.00 before the first term examination. Other than the course fee, the registration fee of Rs. 1000.00, Library fee Rs. 1000.00 and Virtual environment fee Rs. 1000.00 also should be along with the registration fee
